MIDENO Highlights 2024 Achievements, Charts Bold Course for Regional Transformation!
The North West Development Authority (MIDENO) has capped off 2024 with a celebration of impactful achievements and ambitious plans for 2025. At its annual press conference on December 4, 2024, held at the Epic Center in Bamenda, General Manager Cletus Anye Matoyah commended the staff for their relentless efforts, showcasing a year of innovation, growth, and resilience. Among the year’s standout accomplishments was MIDENO’s implementation of the Emergency Project to Combat Food Crisis in Cameroon (PULCCA). Backed by a 4.9 billion FCFA World Bank grant, the project has empowered over 10,000 farmers with improved seeds such as cassava, maize, potatoes, plantains, and vegetables. Forty tons of these seeds were distributed, with each farmer receiving three kilograms free of charge, while additional seeds were sold at subsidized rates to encourage broader adoption.
