​GP-IRDP Project Completion Report Examined/Approved at 12th Steering Committee, RVCDP Introduced!

The Grassfield Participatory Integrated Rural Development Project (GP-IRDP) has successfully phased out after six  years of execution. 

Presiding at the last Steering Committee meeting Thursday, the President, H.E LELE LAFRIQUE expressed satisfaction as far as execution was concerned and thanked Committee Members for their collaboration through the Projects lifespan.

"This meeting being the last of the GP-IRDP is a unique opportunity to evaluate our Stewardship for the past six years. We did not achieve a hundred percent but the main objectives of the Project were achieved. Thank you all for your unwavering dedication, collaboration, and commitment to this initiative"

During the steering Committee meeting, the President officially  announced and congratulated former Project Coordinator of GP-IRDP, Muluh Gregory, on his appointment as Coordinator for the Rice Value Chain  Development Project (RVCDP) that was recently launched in Yaounde, with Head office in Bamenda.

"The Project aims to enhance productivity, profitability, and sustainability of the Rice Value Chain, benefiting various stakeholders and communities. We have once more been called  to put hands on deck to ensure the smooth execution of the RVCDP, as we did the just ended GP-IRDP"

Presentation, examination and approval of the 2021/2022 Audit Reports was also on the agenda as well as the presentation of the Project completion report for GP-IRDP which  revealed an 87% physical realization and 52.18% financial realization as at July 2022. A situation which the Steering Committee President applauded.

Sponsored by the Islamic Development Bank, through the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, GP-IRDP it should be recalled has successfully executed a good number of development strides within it's areas of operation among which were, the opening and rehabilitation of roads, construction of health facilities, community schools, etc.

Ntambang Community Members Schooled on Rape, GBV, Sexual Assault!

As part of activities under the “Adjust For Me” Project implemented in some four local council areas in Bamenda, Community members at the Ntambang locality continue to receive sensitization on Sexual Reproduction Health topics like GBV, Rape, Toxic Masculinity, Sexual Assault, FGM, among others. Community Spokesperson under the project recently carried out a sensitization campaign on GBV, Sexual Assault and its effects on pupils at the Government Practising School Old Town. During conversations, pupils were advised to report every form of abuse/assault to their teachers or parents so as to avoid any damage whatsoever.
