Marion Obam wins Cameroon Journalists Trade Union Top Job.

Marion Obam is the new National President of the Cameroon Journalists Trade Union (CJTU). This was the outcome of an Elective Congress that held in Douala June 26th 2022.

The Elective Assembly that brought together CJTU delegates from all ten Regions of Cameroon, held in the country's Economic Capital Douala under the slogan "the Union, Offensive for a Credible Press".

Out of a total number of one hundred and eight (108) votes casted during the exercise, Marion Obam emerged winner with 54 votes, followed by Aristide Ekambi with 32 and Nathaniel Njog with 22 votes.

Marion Obam succeeds Denis Nkwebo who has been at the helm of the Cameroon Journalists Trade Union for the past 6 years.
