The Governor of the North West Region who doubles as Board Chair for North West Development Authority (MIDENO) has officially launched the 2026 Farming Season on Thursday 13th of March 2026, signalling a renewed commitment to enhancing agricultural productivity and resilience in the Region. In a significant move to enhance Agricultural productivity and support Regional reconstruction, the Government of Cameroon has reaffirmed its dedication to the Rice Value Chain Development Project (RVCDP). This commitment was highlighted during the 6th Steering Committee Meeting chaired by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Gabriel Mbairobe, in Bamenda. Minister Mbairobe characterized the RVCDP as a central element of Government policy under President Paul Biya.
