Bamenda Liquidified Petroleum Gas (LPG) Filling Center Inaugurated!
As part of efforts to increase energy accessibility, reduce the price of gas and promote environmental conservation in Cameroon, the Minister of Water Resources and Energy, Gaston Eloundou Essomba, officially inaugurated the Bamenda Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) Filling Centre on May 9, 2025. In his Inaugural speech, Minister Elloundou said the gas project is part of Government’s effort to bring domestic gas closer and accessible to consumers in the North West Region. He continued that Government has plans to construct and equip similar centres in all 10 Regions of the country. The Minister emphasized the project's alignment with the National Development Strategy and its potential to improve living standards through sustainable energy access.
